Conditions

The Conditions written by the natural persons who created the Royal Budapest Tango Marathon: "Marathon" as a private, non-commercial event, and who are transacting the Marathon: the Marathon Organizers: "Organizers", "We", "Us". The Organizers have the solely right to broaden and/or to alter the Conditions without any prior notice. The Conditions are published on the Marathon webpage. The whole Marathon Conditions are governed by the law of Hungary as a private, non-commercial event.

By registering and/or participating in the Marathon and/or paying/transfering/sending any payment to any of the Marathon traditional or internet bank account or with any money transfer service or in cash you clearly express that you accept and totally agree with the Marathon Conditions: "Conditions".

General conditions

 
- The Marathon is a private, non-commercial event.
- The purpose of the Marathon is to dance argentine tango during a full long weekend with international guests, on a beautiful location, using the best possible goods in order to keep dancing.
- Only those natural persons allowed to participate in the Marathon, who already received from the Organizers the participation permission to the Marathon, basically who already received from the Organizers the "YOU-ARE-IN, the participant(s) name(s), and the Marathon name and date" e-mail for his/her own name. It is the solely right of the Organizers to accept the registration of a person for the Marathon. The participation permission to the Marathon is valid solely for the participant for who it was issued originally and is not transferable to an other person, except if the Organizers transferring it to someone else. Thats why the participation permission to the Marathon cannot be sold between the participants like a ticket, it is valid solely for that person, for who the Organisers approved it. Paying/transfering/sending any payment to any of the Marathon traditional or internet bank account or with any money transfer service or in cash, or coming to the Marathon instead of somebody, but without being accepted by the Organisers prior into the Marathon will not authorize anyone to participate in the Marathon. Payment received from a natural person who previously was not accepted by the Organisers as a participant of the Marathon, or from any other third party will be, and will be presupposed and handled as a non-refundable donation for the Marathon.
- The number of men dancers and women dancers will be balanced,
- The number of participants will be limited,
- The number of participants from the same country will be limited to keep the Marathon really international.
- The communication language of the Marathon is the English language. So we ask every participants and participant candidates to write us in English. If somebody cannot write in English, we accept e-mails also in German, Russian, Spanish, Italian, French and Hungarian, but in this case it might be that we will answer in English. No any other language will be accepted, e-mails written in other languages will be return to their sender to translate them.
- If there is a misprinted content in the Marathon website and/or in any written materials, the Organizers will correct it as soon as it is possible, but will not take any further responsability based on misprints. Also, the Organizers will not take any responsibility based on misunderstandings. It is the sole responsibility of the participants and the participant candidates to ask us in time, if someone is not sure about the meaning of any printed material or cannot find a particular information. We ask every participants and participant candidates to write us or tell us, if someone notices a misprinted content or conflicting information in the Marathon website and/or in any written materials. The participants and participant candidates may not establish any claim based on misprints or misunderstandings.
- The communication methods and channels you should use only to communicate with the Organizers - e.g. e-mail addresses - we publish on the Marathon website, at the Contact us menuitem. You should use only this published communication methods and channels to communicate with the Marathon Organizers in order to keep all communication consistent. You should use only them, not other methods and channels. The organizers are not monitoring other methods and channels, so it is possible that your message will be unanswered in time by the Organizers, if you use other communication methods and channels which are not published on the Marathon website. The organizers are doing their best to answer to the messages and questions as soon as possible, but sometimes it takes a time to answer. Generally the Organizers are taking no any responsibility for any late or missing answer. On the Marathon website if there is no upcoming new Marathon published wiht upcoming dates, or the Registration status is closed, the general e-mail address of the Marathon is not frequently monitored, but the e-mail address for special or thechnical requests is monitored during the whole year.

- The Organizers has the right to entrust other persons, NGOs, and companies, for the period of the Organizers' discretion to help them to organize and to transact the Marathon, including the preparations, registrations, financial management, transacting and post-Marathon tasks. These entrustees are calld Helpers. The Organizers keep controll over their all work continuosly. By paying and/or attending to the Marathon, the participants clearly agree, that from the Organizers or from any Helper entrusted by the Organizers the participants may receive about their payment a bill or a periodic bill or other accounting documents up to the period of one year.

- The Marathon name, its concept, the organization, all electronic and printed materials, all graphics, photos, videos, and artworks, all content of the Marathon website, e-mails, facebook page, group, event and other publications and all know-how are copyrighted, and owned by the founder and main organizer of the Marathon. Without his explicit written permisson it is prohibited to copy, use in any format, alter, publish, print, broadcast or reproduce any of them.

 
Registration conditions
 
- Tango dancers from all over the world with proper tango experience can register to the Marathon at the Marathon webpage, after the pre-announced registraiton open date and time has come and the registration has ben opened by the Organizers.
- We accept registrations for the Marathon in time order, as long as the Marathon, or a country quota is filled up.
- We may temporarily stop the registration of one gender, if the Marathon becomes gender unbalanced. (Of course, the registration for couples will be possible also in this period.) In this case registrants of the gender in question will be redirected to the Waiting List.
- The Waiting List works with first-in-first-out method: Who redirected to the Waiting List first will be accepted first, when a possibility opens to accept participants from the Waiting List. The Organizers have the solely right to decide about making exceptions on accepting registrants form the Waiting List.
- If the places for participants on the Marathon, or a country quota has been filled up, we will redirect the new registrations to the Waiting List, and we will notify the registrants later, if we can let them in later.
- After sending in the registration the registrant(s) will receive: a "registration number - registrant name(s) - registred to the Marathon" e-mail. This DOES NOT mean that the registrant(s) is/are accepted. This only means that we have received the registration with all data, and that we will notify the registrant(s) later, if we can accept him and/or her by sending the "Registration Accepted, Payment Request" e-mail.
- If the registrant(s) did not receive the "Registration Accepted, Payment Request" e-mail within one week, it means he/she/they automatically redirected to the Waiting List. We will let know him and/or her later, if we can accept him and/or her for the Marathon later.
- Only those registrants accepted to the Marathon, who have received the "Registration Accepted, Payment Request" e-mail. The accepted registrants have to pay the registration contribution in time as it is written in the "Registration Accepted, Payment Request" e-mail, basically the payment has to arrive within one week to get confirmed and get into the Marathon.
- Only those accepted registrants will be confirmed to the Marathon and will allowed to participate on the Marathon, who paid the full amount of their registration contribution in time and who have received the YOU-ARE-IN e-mail for his/her name from the Organizers.

- The Organizers, and their Trustees and Helpers are keeping confidental and handling the registration and financial data of the particiants, and they do not give this data to any third persons. By registering to the Marathon and/or by attending to the Marathon and/or by paying their participation contributions in any form the participants, participant candidates and registrants clearly agree that the Organizers, and their Trustees and Helpers can handle their registration and financial data, and they can send them any electronic or traditional mail or message about the Marathon, as well as about any upcoming Marathons and other tango events of the Organizers in the future.

 
Couple registration conditions
 
- We can accept registrations of couples only and handle them as a couple only, if they originally used the Couple Registration form when they registred. After they accepted, to get confirmed and let in as a couple is possible only after we have received the full amount of the payment of the couple. If we have received just a part of the payment, it does not authorize any person from the couple to participate.
- It is not allowed and not possible for any registrant to join as a partner and be couple registered with a previously single registered participant.
- We handle a couple as one registration unit, so if any party cancels his or her registration from a couple, it means that the other party also cancels her or his registration. This is valid also after the couple has paid the registration fee and already confirmed. If the other party would like to participate, need to register again as a single or in couple with a new partner. In this case, if we can accept the new registration, we count in the already paid fee only for that person(s) who previously paid, and re-registred.

Payment conditions

- By registering to the Marathon and/or by attending to the Marathon and/or by paying their participation contributions in any form the participants, participant candidates and registrants clearly agree and understand that any contribution or payment requested by the Organizers or by their Trusties should arrive in the original whoole sum to the indicated traditional or electronic bank accounts, or to any other payment method destionations. It means that all expensees to transfer the contributions and other payments are expesees to be paid by the participants, participant candidates on the top of the sum of their marathon contributions and their other payments. If a participant or a participant candidate transfer or send his or her contribution or payment not in the way what was requested by the Organizers or by their Trusties, or not in the requested currency, and this action generates an extra fee or expense, the participant or the participant candidate has to pay this extra fee or expense too, and only after that they can be accepted to and participate in the Marathon.

Refund and registration transfer conditions
 
- If you can not come or no show because of ANY reason: No refund of any paid or transferred money, sorry. By paying/transfering/sending any payment to any of the Marathon traditional or internet bank account or with any money transfer service or in cash you clearly agree that in the case of you can not come or no show your already paid payment becomes a non-refundable donation to the Marathon.
- If you have paid your contribution and because of ANY reason you can not come, please notify us.
- If you wish, please contact us, and find a man who would like to register, and who we can accept for the Marathon, instead of you (even if you are a man or woman). If you registred as a couple, you can find a couple instead of you also who we can accept for the Marathon. He/they has/have to send in the registration by writing in the notes field of the registration form, that he/they is/are instead of you, your registration number and name(s). If we can accept his/their registration, this new participant(s) will send the Marathon registration contribution directly to you, NOT through us. We will change your registration to the new participant(s) after you confirmed, that you received the money from the new participant(s), or you confirmed that you will manage this later on your own risk. This operation will not be possible at the last minute, just until two weeks before the Marathon. We are really sorry but we can not refund your contribution any other way.
 
Photo, video, recording and broadcast conditions
 
- It is possible that during the event photos and videos will be made of you. By registering to and/or attending the Marathon you totally agree with this, and you give your exact, irrevocable permission to take photos and videos of you, and alow the Organizers or their trustees to use them and publish them later.
- Only those persons are allowed to take any photos or videos on the Marathon event, including all programs announced on the Marathon website who agree that the Organizers or their trustees has the right to use all photos and videos for free made by them during the Marathon event and programs. You clearly express your irrevocable agree on this by taking any photo or video on the Marathon including all programs announced on the Marathon website.
- It is forbidden to live broadcast any part of the Marathon longer than three (3) minutes, including all technical means. Every participant and every technical equipment is allowed to broadcast any part of the Marathon only maximum of three times in any 24 hours, but at least 30 minutes away from each other, it is forbidden to do so more times.
- It is forbidden to record video or audio or make series of photos taken automatically or unattended (e.g. to leave working photographic or video recording equipment somewhere) of any part of the Marathon longer than one tanda, including all technical means. Every participant and every technical equipment is allowed to do this at any part of the Marathon only maximum of three times in any 24 hours, but at least 30 minutes away from each other, it is forbidden to do so more times.
- It is forbidden to make any video or audio recordings on the Marathon longer than one tanda, including all technical means. Every participant and every technical equipment is allowed to do this at any part of the Marathon only maximum of three times in any 24 hours, but at least 30 minutes away from each other, it is forbidden to do so more times. To record shows or performances, if any, is an exception to this rule.
- Every participnat allowed to publish any fotos, videos, audios, or broadcasts of the Marathon under his or her personal name only. It is strctly forbidden to publish any fotos, videos, audios, broadcasts or similar, or text or graphics of the Marathon under a non-personal name, or use any of them for any commercial vay or in relation of any other event or organization, or in such a way that they may be believed to belong to another event or organisation. It is also strictly forbidden for participants to use the official name, logo, graphics, images, videos, audio recordings, broadcasts or anything else of the Marathon in such a way that it may appear to come from an official source of the Marathon.
- If a participant violates any of these rules, the Organizers or their Trustees will warn him or her. After te second unsuccessful warning the Organizers have the right to suspend immediately the pemission of him or her to participate on the Marathon or on any program connected to the Marathon, without any payback, refund or compensation.
 
Location conditions
 
- On the Marathon locations every participant should follow the requests of the Organizers in the subjects which are connected to the Marathon. If someone doing or behaving like it will or can be dangerous for the Marathon and/or for the location, and/or can cause any type of damage to other parties, the Organizers have the right to suspend immediately the pemission of him or her to participate on the Marathon or on any program connected to the Marathon, without any payback, refund or compensation.
 
Travell and participation conditions
 
- The Organizers both in organizing and in trasacting the Marathon any time will follow the health and other prescriptions described in the current law of Hungary as well as in the orders of the Hungarian authorities. So the Organizers can let in the Marathon only those persons, who are fulfill all requirements what is described in the law of Hungary and in the orders of the Hungarian authorities, what is necessary currently to participate on a dancing night event in Hungary.

- It is the solely own responsability of the Marathon participants and of anybody who are attending to the Marathon because of whatever reason to fulfill all the conditions described by the current law of Hungary and by the current orders of the Hungarian authorities what is necessary for her or him to enter Hungary and to attend a dancing night event in Hungary.
- Also it is the solely own responsability of the Marathon participants and of anybody who are attending to the Marathon because of whatever reason to take actions on their own cost in time, as well as collect proper information, and have the proper health documents and/or other documents in order to fulfill all requirements to enter Hungary and to attend a dancing night event in Hungary.
- If during the Marathon dates it is prescribed in the current law of Hungary or in the current orders of the Hungarian authorities, the Organizers or their trustees will check officially the health documents and/or other documents of the participants, and will let in the Marathon only those participants, who fulfill all the requirements prescribed by the law of Hungary and by the orders of the Hungarian authorities.
- In this case if a participant cannot show up all the prescribed and valid health document and/or other document, so the Organizers or their trustees cannot let her or him in the Marathon because of this, or a participant cannot enter Hungary for similar reasons, there is no any refund or compensation because of this.
- If there is an official change any time in the law of Hungary or in the orders of the Hungarian authorities, and because of this a participant will not have the sufficient health documents and/or other documents at the Marathon dates to participate on the Marathon or to enter Hungary, despite at the time of registration and/or payment and confirmation she or he had the right documents, there is no any refund or compensation because of this.
 
Program changes and vis maior conditions
 
- The Organizers are doing their best with a wide experience in organizing Tango Marathons, but in a serious or unexpected case the Organizers have the right to change any DJs and/or change the Marathon Program and/or change the Marathon location in Budapest, including the suburban region and/or change the catering conditions and/or in serious vis maior situation postpone the Marathon. By registering to the Marathon and/or by attending to the Marathon and/or by paying their participation contributions in any form the participants clearly agree, that in this case no refund and no compensation of any paid contribution.

- The Organizers will announce the above mentioned possible changes on the Marathon website, especially in the Marathon Programme section, as well as on Facebook. It is the responsibility of the participants to inform themselves about possible changes on the Marathon website before and during the events. The Organizers will not send emails to participants individually to inform them of any changes. The exception to this is in case of vis maior, where notification is otherwise possible.

- In the case of vis maior (for example, but not limited: flood, fire, earthquake, war, terror, migration, epidemic, serious or mass accident, the Organizer(s) become(s) incapable of acting, regulatory provisions or omission, order or omission of authorities, unexpected or last minute one-sided breach of contract of the location owner(s) or handler(s), etc...) causing the Marathon cancellation or Marathon postponement, or causing to stop the running Marathon, basically there is no refund. By registering to the Marathon and/or by attending to the Marathon and/or by paying their participation contributions in any form the participants clearly agree to this and also agree that the Organizers has the sole right to decide about the possibility of any compensation or partial refund for the participants.
- In the case of vis maior, by registering to the Marathon and/or by attending to the Marathon and/or by paying their participation contributions in any form the participants clearly agree that they bear the risk of vis maior up to the extent of their paid contribution.
- In the case of vis maior and/or if the Organizers change any DJs and/or the Marathon Program and/or the marathon location in Budapest including the suburban region and/or the catering conditions, and/or if the Organizers cancel or postpone the Marathon or stop the running Marathon because of a serious unexpected case, by registering to the Marathon and/or by attending to the Marathon and/or by paying their participation contributions in any form the registrants clearly agree that the Organizers cannot be held liable for the cost and for the additional cost paid by the participants (for example, but not limited to: travell fee, accommodation fee, meal and additional travell expenses, wasting time, lack of experience, etc...)
