DJ Theo Chatzipetros (Italy / Grece)
My experience with tango started in 2003 as a dancer and I started Djing in 2007 at Impruneta, near by Florence, a milonga running twice a month where I have been co-organizer. I have a huge experience -more than 800 sets- among regular milongas, encuentros, marathons and festivals arround Europe. When I'm djing I like to relate with the people on the dancefloor, I always try to guess which can be the best choice of a tune, in order to create a nice wave during my set. I often think about the fact that some couples can have the best tanda ever during my set and that's why each tanda should be constructed having a sense, a path, a sort of uniqueness that can match with the uniqueness of dancing. The music selection is predominantly classical and never predictable, spans the entire period of the tango and sometimes I like to surprise the dancers by proposing some rare tracks. The aim is always satisfying the dancers: nice music for dancing, warm atmosphere to enjoy. I'm using lossless files imported from my collection of CDs and LPs and I work with a sound card and professional software in order to guarantee a high sound quality
DJ Antónia Nagykáldi (Hungary)
Antónia Nagykáldi is the resident DJ of Milonga sin Palabras Budapest, Hungary since 2010 and a regular DJ of tango festivals, marathons, encuentros and milongas all around Europe. In Budapest: Danubiando Tango Festival, Amor en Budapest Tango Marathon, Primavera Budapest Tango Martahon, Royal Budapest Tango Marathon, Noches de Hungria Tango Marathon, and almost all milongas in Budapest, and in Hungary.
DJ Jonas Maria (Austria / Germany)
In everything that I’m doing, I put my whole heart and soul. I love it when my selection of tango music energizes the dancers – like throwing out sparks – and they feel supported by it. It’s my passion. Music comes from my heart and is transported to the dancer’s heart. I feel intuitively whether I reach them and adapt accordingly. While DJing I follow one simple rule – music must keep the dancers on the dance floor. I was DJ on festivals, marathons and milongas in Europa.
DJ Endre Szeghalmi (Hungary)
I’m in love with tango music, as a dj and as a dancer. I’ve been to Buenos Aires five times, the second time I spent more than 7 months there. During that time I attended many different styles of tango evenings, and paid good attention to what factors make for a great dance evening. Moving from tanda to tanda, I choose my music carefully according to time period, orchestra and atmosphere. I am organizer and DJ of the Budapest based castle milonga which is said to be among one of the most beautiful milonga venues of Europe.
DJ Dénes Mogyorósi (Hungary)
The harmony to enjoy in a milonga by the embrace with my partner and by the music is valuable to me as a dancer as well as a tango DJ. I like when the dancers will able to experience various feelings by the music what I play, mostly joy, playfulness, sometimes deep feelings also. That type of musical waves can give us such an uplifting experience what may remain with us in the everyday life also after the milonga.
